James An, rapper, educator, and actor, is currently a Master's student in the Arts in Education Program at Harvard Graduate School of Education. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a B.S. in Economics and B.A. in Religious Studies. At Penn, he founded KLASS, the premier Korean American hip hop rap group, and was also involved in a number of student organizations and societies such as PennSori A Cappella, Wharton Korea Undergraduate Business Society, Alpha Phi Omega, Sphinx Senior Society, and Oracle Senior Honor Society.
James also acted in "Dangerous To Know," an independent feature film (2017) by David Simpson, and founded "Hip Hop Education Initiative," which aims to foster learning and exchange for students interested in hip hop education, at Harvard. Currently, he is working on his debut mixtape, 'See What I See," which will be available in November in conjunction with his mixtape release concert at PhilaMOCA.
